Princess and the Frog Inspired Portraits

I am overflowing with excitement to share some magical Princess and the Frog inspired portraits from a couple recent sessions that were straight out of a fairytale!
Picture this : Princess and the Frog inspired portraits from maternity and newborn sessions that bring the enchanting world of Disney to life.
Trust me, these portraits are so beautiful andso captivating, it felt like stepping right into the charming streets of New Orleans and the lush bayou!

A Fairytale Unfolds: Amber’s Tiana-Inspired Gown

Let’s start with Amber, the beautiful mother-to-be who radiated elegance and grace in her stunning Tiana-inspired gown by Miss Madison.
Amber’s gown was an absolute showstopper—crafted with exquisite detail, the satin gown’s rich green hue paid homage to Princess Tiana’s iconic look.
This gown was not designed with the intention of Tiana, but as soon as Amber put it on, this was all I could picture!
The gown seemed to capture the very essence of Tiana’s transformation from a hardworking waitress to a beautiful princess, and it was perfect for Amber’s maternity session.
Without knowing Tiana is Amber’s favorite Disney Princess, I created this image and presented it to her. She loved it so much, and it was then I just knew we needed to create some Princess and the Frog inspired portraits when her baby arrived!

The gown flowed like the magical gown Tiana wore at the royal ball, making Amber look like she had stepped straight out of a Disney movie.
Every twirl and pose she struck was pure magic, embodying Tiana’s elegance and poise. It was as if the spirit of the bayou was swirling around her, making this maternity session feel like a scene right from “The Princess and the Frog.”

Drew as the Frog Prince and AvaRose as Tiana

Fast forward to Drew’s newborn session, where the magic continued. Little Drew was the star of the show as the Frog Prince.
Adorned in the cutest frog-themed knit outfit, he brought to life the playful and charming essence of Prince Naveen. His tiny frog costume was so adorable, it almost made you believe in fairytale magic!

And let’s not forget big sister AvaRose—our very own Tiana! AvaRose was the picture of grace and charm in her princess gown.
She delighted in her role as Tiana, and her radiant smile perfectly complemented her little brother’s Frog Prince outfit.
Together, they made the perfect royal pair, embodying the magic and love of the Disney fairytale.

Designing these Princess and the Frog inspired portraits was a delightful adventure.
From the initial concept to the final click of the camera, the process was filled with creativity and excitement.
The goal was to capture the enchantment of Disney’s beloved characters while celebrating Amber’s maternity and Drew’s newborn moments.

While Amber’s Tiana-inspired portraits came unintentionally, Drew’s newborn session involved a lot of careful planning – from sourcing the perfect gown for AvaRose, and the best tiny little frog sleeper that felt like they were straight out of a storybook.
The real fun came when we saw these ideas come to life. The transformation of ordinary moments into magical Disney-inspired portraits was truly rewarding.

It was a joy to see how Amber’s maternity and Drew’s newborn portraits could seamlessly blend the magic of Disney with the tenderness of these special family moments.
