Christmas Baby Photos with Sweet Addy | A December Newborn Session to Remember
There is something undeniably magical about Christmas baby photos, and sweet Addy’s newborn session was filled with more meaning and heart than I could have ever imagined.
Addy is not only the newest little love I’ve had the joy of photographing for this family – she is their third daughter, their third December baby, and already such a beautiful continuation of a story I’ve been documenting for years.

I first met this sweet family three years ago when I photographed big sisters Peyton and Harper as newborns.
Walking into Addy’s session felt like coming full circle – familiar faces, familiar love, and the same warmth that fills the room every time this family steps into my studio.
And the resemblance? Addy looks just like her big sister Harper, right down to her delicate features and peaceful expressions.
Seeing that connection through my lens was incredibly special.

Addy is also the fourth sweet girl I’ve photographed in this extended family.
I’ve had the pleasure of capturing her adorable cousin Lucille as well, which makes sessions like this feel less like work and more like photographing family.
Watching these girls grow – and now seeing them all connected through images – is exactly why I do what I do.

For Addy’s session, her mama gave me full creative freedom, which is always such an honor.
Since her session took place just a few days before Christmas, I leaned fully into the season and designed a setup that felt timeless, festive, and soft.
We used my beautiful gold snowflake backdrop to create elegant, glowing christmas baby photos, paired with rich reds and classic greens that felt cozy and celebratory without overpowering her delicate features.

One of my favorite details from this session is a little fun fact that makes my heart so happy.
The floral lace fabric I used for Addy was red – but this same exact fabric has been part of each girl’s newborn session. I
used a lavender version for sisters Peyton and Harper, and a rust version for cousin Lucille.
All four girls now have portraits on the same fabric, each in their own color, tying their stories together in the most beautiful way. It’s these thoughtful details that turn photographs into heirlooms.

Addy herself was an absolute dream to photograph. Calm, snuggly, and content, she slept so peacefully through her session and let me pose her with ease.
She truly was a little doll, and capturing her first days – especially during such a meaningful time of year – was an absolute pleasure.

All of the backdrops used in this session are from Hello Little Props, and her sweet headbands are from Golden Stitch and Pinkytinks – details chosen carefully to complement her soft holiday palette and keep the focus right where it belongs : on Addy.

Sessions like this are a reminder of how fleeting these newborn days are – especially for December babies, whose first moments are wrapped in extra magic, tradition, and love.
