Naryah’s Fairy First Birthday
There is something so incredibly special about a fairy first birthday – the softness, the sparkle, the magic of turning one. Naryah’s session was all of that and more.
As the youngest of three (with two soon-to-be protective big brothers!), this sweet girl already has the most precious presence.
A couple of years ago, I photographed her big brother Wes’s cake smash, photographed the boys with Santa, and last year I had the honor of capturing Naryah’s newborn portraits.
Watching this sweet family grow and being invited back to celebrate each milestone is truly the greatest compliment.
For Naryah’s fairy first birthday, Mama came to me with the most beautiful vision : princess meets butterfly meets enchanted fairy garden.
She imagined soft lavender and pink tones, delicate florals, twinkle lights, and whimsical fairy details – and it all came together in absolute perfection.
The custom set featured cascading greenery and moss, blush and lavender blooms, glowing lanterns, and a dreamy illuminated “One” sign nestled into the garden scene. It felt like stepping into a storybook.
Naryah wore two adorable outfits for her session – one pink and one purple – both covered in delicate butterfly details that tied everything together beautifully.
The soft tulle skirts, tiny embellishments, and whimsical textures made her look like she had fluttered right out of a fairy tale.
Personality-wise, she reminded me so much of her big brother Wes – a little more on the serious side, taking everything in with those pretty brown eyes.
She carefully studied the set, the lights, and of course… the cake. But don’t worry – we absolutely managed to capture some sweet smiles, too.
And when the cake smash officially began, she fully embraced the experience in her own adorable way.
